Caring for your Mohair Knits

Our Angora Mohair is spun & dyed in Tuscany in one of the world’s leading textile mills, renowned for responsible innovation + ethical sourcing.

Luna Mohair products are knitted using a blend of Merino Wool + Mohair.  This creates gorgeous colour combinations + extremely light, luscious jumpers, blankets & cardigans.

MOHAIR CARE

Only wash occasionally, mohair is a self-cleaning fibre.  

We recommend

.  Handwash in cool water ... avoid any heat

.  Eco liquid laundry detergent not too much

.  Soak for up to 20 minutes, 

.  Remove water, don’t wring OR gently spin in laundry bag

.  Dry flat, away from sunlight / avoid heat

.  Air your knits more regularly than washing

.  Fold knitwear … do not hang

.  Store knits with Lavender + Cedar wool balls

Natural yarns can pill - it is just friction at the end of the fibre.  We use Fabricare fabric shaver to make knits look like new.
